How Nani’s Kitchen Was Built (The Tech Stack)

To create a website that feels as authentic as the food, I utilized a modern, flexible tech stack that allows for high-quality visuals and seamless user interaction.

1. The Core: WordPress

I chose WordPress as the Content Management System (CMS) because of its reliability and SEO-friendly nature. It serves as the engine for the site, allowing for:

  • Scalability: The ability to add a blog (for Nani’s secret tips) or an e-commerce store (for selling spice blends) in the future.

  • Media Management: Efficiently hosting high-resolution food photography that showcases our authentic textures.

2. The Design: Elementor Page Builder

The visual identity of Nani’s Kitchen was crafted using Elementor. This “Drag-and-Drop” tool allowed me to move beyond standard templates to create a custom, warm aesthetic.

  • Custom Layouts: I built a unique hero section with a “warm-home” feel, using specific typography that looks hand-written and nostalgic.

  • Mobile Responsiveness: Elementor was used to ensure the menu and photos look just as delicious on a smartphone as they do on a desktop.

  • Motion Effects: Subtle entrance animations were added to spice photos and headlines to give the site a “simmering” feel as you scroll.

3. User Interaction: The Contact Page

A restaurant portfolio is only successful if it drives action. I built a dedicated Contact Us page to bridge the gap between digital browsing and physical dining.

  • Lead Generation: Integrated a customized contact form for catering inquiries, table bookings, and feedback.

  • Google Maps Integration: Embedded a live map so guests can find their way to our kitchen effortlessly.

  • Social Connectivity: Linked our Instagram and WhatsApp directly so the community can see what Nani is cooking in real-time.
